History and Mission Statement

Company History

Mainely Memories was incorporated in April of 2001. It began as an independent teaching service for scrapbook stores and general craft stores. Over the years, services have expanded to include convention and event teaching, sales, and consulting services.

On May 1, 2004, Mainely Memories opened its own studio in Gray, Maine. The studio was designed to cater to the wishes, whims, and desires of every scrapper!

Mainely Memories is privately owned and operated by Tracy Morton.

Mission Statement

Mainely Memories is devoted to providing the best opportunity for every student to acquire the knowledge, skills, creativity, and a sense of purpose in designing and creating their scrapbooks and heirloom albums. Helping to inspire a worthy dream and goal of creating albums of meaning to leave as a legacy and inspiration to others is the cornerstone of the classroom.

Creativity is not an innate quality and can be learned. A pleasant environment and atmosphere where learning is fun and encompasses a broad variety of techniques, tools, and supplies will be the backbone of the learning process.

Young and old alike will be treated with respect, kindness, and given the same opportunity to share their stories and photos through a life long process of preservation.

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
